Gagging Daddies

Well, my doctor told me at my last appointment that if Ethan doesn't come by the due date (20th), he'll induce me on the 25th.
I can't believe I'm going to be a mom! I'm sooo excited!!

I must admit though, I've had a few moments of anxiety these past few days--just realizing I'm going to have a little life to take care of and that it's not going to be just me and hubby anymore is kinda scary. However, I'm sure once I see his sweet little face I'll be ready for whatever motherhood brings!

So, in honor of our upcoming arrival, I've decided to post
one of the funniest videos I've ever seen! Bob and I have had the "diaper talk" and I think he's willing to help in that area. We'll see--the dads in this video aren't having too much fun with it!! haha

Bring on the diapers!

  1. I think it is kind of scary being a first time mom, not knowing what to expect. The only thing I can recommend is to get as much rest as you can...if someone offers to help, take them up on it. I tried to do it all because I felt so good, but it sure caught up with me.
My son and d.i.l. had a baby last March, and I never thought I would ever see him change a diaper...but he surprised me and does it pretty good.

  2. That is so funny!
I gag pretty easily, but when it's your own little one somehow you just do it.

It is scary thinking about the changes that will occur in your life, but it's such a good change.

I bet I know one person that'll want to babysit often. ;)

  3. Kari,
It's amazing how the instinct to be a parent takes over when your baby is in your arms!

  4. You seem like you will be a great mother! Get as much sleep as you can and don't stress too much about the housework at first. You will soon find a routine and the dust isn't going anywhere ;o) Kenny has never had an issue changing diapers, but he does have an extraordinary sense of smell and very sensitive gag reflex, so he usually tries to keep the vomit inside the whole time he changes. It's hysterical!

  6. Congratulations! I can imagine both feelings of happiness and anxiety are definitely kicking in by now! You and your husband will be great parents I'm sure!

That video was hilarious! I don't know how my husband is going to be when we have kids. We've talked about but only in short amounts because we're not ready yet. But he doesn't seem to keen on the idea of changing diapers! That'll change when the time comes though! haha

    Take care!
